St. Francis is offering a "Support Life" area in our Narthex.  This ministry will collect donations of new or handmade baby and maternity items for Thrive Medical Clinic, our local pregnancy care center.

Donations can be dropped off in the crib located on the west side coat rack area.  Specific items needed can be found by clicking

With the coming of a new year, there are always challenges that need to be addressed as we look forward to better days.  In the case of St. Francis, our challenge has been the lack of guests utilizing our food pantry.  Over the past couple of years we’ve put out advertisements and signs to let folks know of our availability to help with food needs.  Unfortunately, people still haven’t been showing up.

So, as of February 1st we will be shifting gears.  This was a joint decision that was discerned with our pantry leaders.  Taking into account the low number of patrons  and the number of volunteer hours our parishioners have been putting in, we have decided to go in a new direction.  We will no longer be offering this ministry directly, on site.   But fear not! We will continue to support this wonderful and necessary ministry by helping those institutions better equipped to handle the needs of our community.

Monthly envelopes will still be available (just renamed) as we look to offer financial support to places such as Fr. Fred, Safe Harbor and St. Vincent de Paul.  These places offer assistance beyond just food so their outreach is potentially tremendous.  Food donations will still be accepted and delivered to those places we are supporting.

Words can never express the gratitude this parish has for the countless hours our leaders and volunteers have put into this ministry.  They have poured their hearts and their labor into showing God’s grace to all who enter.

Please pray for all our workers and clients as we transition to a new type of outreach.

Our Perpetual Adoration Chapel is in need of new Adorers. We are blessed that our five local parishes support and
provide adorers, but we still have a few hours with only one adorer. Please pray about being called to
this sacrificial but immensely rewarding ministry!

quiet time with Jesus.
