RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Religious Education (Sunday School) is geared toward children in Gr. K-5.  Learning and sharing faith together creates a stronger parish community, encourages full, active and conscious participation in Mass, provides support for parents as the primary teachers of the faith for their children and helps all of us to grow in the understanding and love of our Catholic faith.

Classes take place on Sunday mornings between the 9:00 and 11:00 Masses.  Classes begin in September.  2014-2015.  RE Class dates yet to be determined.

SACRAMENT PREPARATION/RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS

SACRAMENT PREPARATION

This program, geared to Junior High/High School, prepares our youth & teens to receive and complete the Sacraments of Initiation - Confirmation & Eucharist.  Many times, families move into our diocese from one that confirms at a later age, or a youth/teen chose to wait for Confirmation.  Additionally, a youth or teen may not have yet received First Eucharist(Communion).  Sacrament Prep Gr. 6-12 prepares and leads these youth & teens to and through these Sacraments.

RCIA ADAPTED

Youth or teens may be baptized in another Christian faith or are un-baptized and may desire to be a part of the Catholic faith community.  RCIA adapted for Gr. 6-12 prepares them for Full Initiation or Reception into the Catholic faith.

These two groups meet at the same time.  Sessions begin in January and are held on Saturday mornings twice a month until the celebration of the Sacraments.
